(Hybrid Perpetuals) Richly cupped blooms of warm, glowing pink unfurl with an almost voluptuous generosity, their strongly fragrant petals carrying that deep, intoxicating scent so characteristic of the finest old roses. Reliably repeat-flowering well into autumn, this rose brings colour and perfume to the garden long after many of its contemporaries have fallen silent. Discovered growing at Woolverstone Church in Suffolk, it was brought to wider attention by the late rosarian Humphrey Brooke, ensuring this remarkable rose was not lost to posterity.
