(Hybrid Perpetuals) Baroness Rothschild bears magnificent, generously cupped blooms of the softest blush pink, each flower a study in refined symmetry and old-world elegance. Notably repeat-flowering for its era, it returns with fresh flushes well into autumn, the blooms carried on upright stems amid plentiful, handsome foliage. Fragrance is virtually absent, though the sheer beauty of the flowers renders this a forgivable omission. Named in honour of Julie de Rothschild of the celebrated banking dynasty, it remains one of the most distinguished Hybrid Perpetuals ever raised.
