(Modern Climbers) A Peter Beales Roses introduction, 'Laura Louisa' is a beautifully double, mid-pink to salmon sport of the classic 'Leverkusen', bearing its sweetly fragrant blooms with remarkable generosity from early summer well into autumn. The flowers are set against lustrous, dark green foliage that enhances their warm, glowing tones. Introduced by us for Mr Roy Riches, this rose was named in loving memory of his mother.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Laura Louisa roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Laura Louisa with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Laura Louisa is back in stock.

Laura Louisa's mature growth range is 360cm x 240cm (12ft x 8ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Laura Louisa belongs to our Modern Climbers family of roses.
