(Moss Roses) Few roses possess such theatrical charm as this remarkable variety, whose heavily mossed buds are so elaborately crested that they uncannily resemble a cocked hat — the very inspiration behind its whimsical name. When those buds unfurl, they reveal fully double, cabbage-like blooms of deep silvery-pink, richly and voluptuously fragrant, making their brief but glorious summer appearance all the more precious.
