(Damasks) Full, deeply cupped blooms of clear silvery pink open in sumptuous quartered formation, releasing a rich, intoxicating fragrance that has captivated gardeners for centuries. Remarkably, this ancient rose defies its age by flowering again in late summer and autumn — a rare and precious quality among old roses. Known also as 'Rose des Quatre Saisons,' it is believed to be the repeat-flowering rose prized by the Romans and cultivated throughout the medieval world.

Wonderful old fashion fragrance

I wanted a highly fragrant rose and this rose has certainly lived up to its expectation but beware of the sharp and plentiful thorns.
