Dark, lustrous foliage provides an elegant backdrop that sets off the delicate colouring to perfection. Named for Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, this rose feels like a fitting tribute to her domain.

Its billowing grey-green foliage softens bare rose stems, and its long flowering season keeps pollinators visiting long after the first flush of roses is over.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Flora roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Flora with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Flora is back in stock.

Flora's mature growth range is 360cm x 250cm (12ft x 8.3ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Flora belongs to our Sempervirens Ramblers family of roses.
