(Wichurana Ramblers) Cascading in generous clusters, Minnehaha bears small, richly double blooms of deep pink that soften beguilingly to blush as they age, creating a delightful two-tone effect at the height of its summer flowering. The plentiful dark, glossy foliage provides a lustrous backdrop that makes the blooms sing. Named for the waterfall immortalised in Longfellow's beloved poem *The Song of Hiawatha*, her name meaning "laughing water" — a fitting tribute to this rose's effervescent summer display.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Minnehaha (Rambler) roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Minnehaha (Rambler) with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Minnehaha (Rambler) is back in stock.

Minnehaha (Rambler)'s mature growth range is 450cm x 240cm (15ft x 8ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Minnehaha (Rambler) belongs to our Wichurana Ramblers family of roses.
