(Bourbons) Few roses can rival the exquisite elegance of Souvenir de la Malmaison, whose blush-white blooms are delicately suffused with the softest face-powder pink. Each generously petalled flower opens to a perfect flat, quartered form, releasing a rich and heady fragrance throughout a remarkably long season from early summer well into autumn. Named in honour of Empress Joséphine's legendary garden at Malmaison, near Paris, this rose is a living tribute to her passionate devotion to the genus.
