(Species) A vigorous and exuberant rambler, Rosa × Fortuniana produces cascading clusters of fully double, creamy-white blooms with a delicate, light fragrance in a glorious late spring flush. Its early flowering season makes it a captivating sight when few other roses have yet stirred, smothering its stems in rosette-shaped blossoms of quiet, ivory elegance. This natural hybrid of Rosa banksiae and Rosa laevigata carries a distinguished heritage rooted in the plant-hunting era of the nineteenth century.
