(Species) Delicate clusters of tiny semi-double, creamy-white blooms tumble forth in generous abundance, their soft petals carrying a sweet, lingering fragrance that drifts beautifully on warm summer air. A notably thornless plant, Purezza offers two distinct flushes of flower, with its first generous display in early summer giving way to a welcome repeat performance in autumn. The name *Purezza* is the Italian word for "purity," a fitting tribute to the pristine innocence of its blossoms.

Its billowing grey-green foliage softens bare rose stems, and its long flowering season keeps pollinators visiting long after the first flush of roses is over.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Purezza roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Purezza with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Purezza is back in stock.

Purezza's mature growth range is 420cm x 300cm (14ft x 10ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Species roses are the original wild roses that all garden roses descend from, largely unchanged by breeding. They typically flower once, in a simple five-petalled form, and many go on to produce decorative autumn hips — a good choice for wildlife gardens and naturalistic planting.

Purezza belongs to our Species group of species roses.
