(Moss Roses) Exquisitely double blooms of soft lilac-pink are carried on unusually long, well-mossed stems — a quality captured in the variety's very name, *À Longs Pédoncules* meaning "long flower stalks" — and the richly fragrant flowers possess an almost luminous, antique quality that is quite arresting. The moss itself is generously developed, adding a characterful, tactile dimension to the stems and buds. Unique to us in the United Kingdom, this is a genuinely rare treasure for the discerning collector.
