(Modern Climbers) Bienvenue is a captivating climber that clothes its dark, lustrous foliage in a long succession of deeply fragrant, fully double blooms in rich, warm pink — flowering generously from early summer well into autumn. The flowers carry an intense perfume that fills the air around them, making this an especially rewarding rose for a wall, arch, or pergola where its charms can be fully appreciated.

Stunning rose

I have this rose growing on an arbour at my allotment. It is stunning and its perfume is heavenly and strong. I bought as a bare root but it has grown fantastically. Just wish I had room fo4 it at home!

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Bienvenue roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Bienvenue with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Bienvenue is back in stock.

Bienvenue's mature growth range is 2.4mx1.2m (8x4ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Bienvenue belongs to our Modern Climbers family of roses.
