Rose Of The Year 2023

Potted roses are supplied in a 5.5 litre pot.

(Modern Climbers) Warm apricot-orange blooms of quietly ravishing beauty repeat reliably through summer and into autumn, their softly cupped petals carrying a pleasing fragrance that drifts on the air. Free-flowering and vigorous, this climber clothes a trellis or wall in successive flushes of colour, each bloom glowing with the warmth of a summer sunset. The variety takes its evocative name from the celebrated Victorian dessert created in honour of the great Australian soprano Dame Nellie Melba.

Love it

I love this rose. Each flower is a different color. Peach, salmon, pink. I also love the sweet fresh scent. Healthy rose, doesn't catch diseases.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Peach Melba roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Peach Melba with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Peach Melba is back in stock.

Peach Melba's mature growth range is 200cm x 150cm (6.6ft x 5ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Peach Melba belongs to our Modern Climbers family of roses.
