(Moss Roses) Richly mossed buds of extraordinary texture unfurl into sumptuous, large double blooms of deep purple-magenta, their petals fading to soft lilac and violet as they age — a captivating play of colour. Fragrant and generous in its summer flowering, this magnificent rose carries the romantic, brooding quality that makes the old Moss roses so utterly irresistible. Known also as 'Old Velvet Moss', it remains one of the finest of its class.
