Potted roses are supplied in a 5.5 litre pot.

(Patio Roses) Vivid clusters of double rosette blooms in a warm salmon-orange light up the garden from early summer well into autumn, making Mandarin a remarkably free-flowering and reliable performer. Its rich, jewel-like colouring has all the vibrancy its name suggests, and excellent disease resistance ensures the foliage remains as handsome as the flowers throughout the season.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Mandarin roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Mandarin with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Mandarin is back in stock.

Mandarin's mature growth range is 45cm x 45cm (1.5ft x 1.5ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Patio roses are compact, naturally bushy varieties bred to stay small — usually under 60cm — making them ideal for pots, containers and smaller gardens where a full-size shrub rose wouldn't fit. They flower just as freely as their larger relatives.

Mandarin belongs to our Patio Roses group.
