(Setigera Hybrids) Large, cupped, fully double blooms of silky white — occasionally blushed with the faintest hint of pink at their heart — are borne on long, elegant stems and carry a rich, heady fragrance. This magnificent climber produces its flowers in generous abundance through the summer months, making it equally at home adorning a pergola as it is gracing a vase. Named, with characteristic Victorian flair, for the swashbuckling pirate of Robert Louis Stevenson's *Treasure Island*.
