(Rugosas) Pure white, single blooms of silken simplicity open in generous succession from early summer well into autumn, their golden stamens glowing at the heart of each flower. Powerfully fragrant, this remarkable rose offers a succession of pleasures as the season progresses — later blooms appearing alongside an increasingly spectacular display of enormous scarlet hips, while the bright green, deeply textured foliage turns a warm, buttery yellow as the year draws to a close.
