(Wichurana Ramblers) A sumptuous rambler that erupts in mid-summer with great cascading clusters of fully double, richly fragrant blooms in a warm, deep golden yellow that fades gracefully to cream at the edges. The flowers tumble in abundant profusion, creating a breathtaking spectacle against fence or pergola, their heady scent carrying generously on the summer air. Introduced in 1932 by the nurseryman Walter Easlea, whose name this glorious variety proudly bears.

Frequently asked questions

Bare-root Easlea’s Golden Rambler roses are best planted during their dormant season, from November to March, which is also when we dispatch them. Potted roses are grown in containers and can be planted at any time of year — just avoid periods of hard frost or drought, and water thoroughly after planting.

Every rose we sell is covered by our 1-year Rose Guarantee, so you can plant Easlea’s Golden Rambler with confidence. See our Rose Guarantee page for the full details.

Often, yes — we grow our roses ourselves and stock varies through the season, so a variety that's sold out can come back. Use the "Notify me" button above to be emailed the moment Easlea’s Golden Rambler is back in stock.

Easlea’s Golden Rambler's mature growth range is 600cm x 450cm (20ft x 15ft). Growing conditions such as soil, sunlight, feeding and pruning can affect the final size, so treat this as a guide rather than an exact figure.

Climbing roses produce fewer, larger flowers on stiffer, more upright growth, and most repeat-flower through summer with a light prune each year. Rambling roses grow much more vigorously on long, flexible canes and produce one spectacular flush of smaller flowers in early-to-midsummer, usually pruned just after flowering rather than in winter.

Easlea’s Golden Rambler belongs to our Wichurana Ramblers family of roses.
