(Pimpinellifolias) Delicate, single blooms of the purest creamy white open in graceful profusion along arching stems each May and June, their simplicity carrying a quiet, lightly sweet fragrance. Dark, ferny foliage provides a beautiful foil, lending this once-flowering rose an air of timeless, unadorned charm. It is said to have been discovered growing wild among the Suffolk coastal heathland near the ancient, largely submerged town of Dunwich, from which it takes its evocative name.
