Special Notes:

Our Full-Day Planting and Pruning Workshop is not just hugely informative, it’s an entire day of expert advice, with fun, practical and interactive demonstrations. You will spend the entire day with two of our senior Rosarians learning tips and tricks of the trade including behind-the-scenes secrets of our 30 Chelsea Gold Medals and how that can translate to your garden. Together you will enjoy a delicious two course lunch in our Rosarian restaurant, and at the end of the day you will receive a container rose worth £29 to take home.

“The Rosarians were absolute professionals. They gave articulate guidance and advice that I can’t wait to incorporate into my own garden, not to mention lots of helpful tips for the healthiest, happiest roses.”

These courses run throughout the year and are hugely popular for long time rose lovers and novice gardeners alike. For those travelling a long distance or from abroad, you can find transport and accommodation information on our website.

This highly recommended full day course looks at the theory of pruning and planting all types of roses including old and modern shrub roses, climbers, ramblers and species roses. Through practical demonstrations from our knowledgeable Rosarians, you will go away with the confidence you need to be able to get the absolute best from your roses at home. Winter is the optimum time to plant roses, as it causes the least amount of stress to the plant. Warm clothes are therefore recommended for this course as many of the demonstrations take place within our rose gardens.
